Outdoor unit installation

Select the desired mounting method for the outdoor unit of the heat pump: wall or ground. In the case of a wooden or log house, or a wooden facade, we recommend installing the outdoor unit of the heat pump on the ground so that vibration in the house during cold weather does not spread. In the case of a stone house, we recommend installing it on the wall.

Air-to-air heat pump technology allows thermal energy to be pumped from one environment to another.

An air-to-air heat pump consists of two units: outdoor and indoor.

Outdoor unit

Is installed outdoors to open air. The device can thus take thermal energy from the outside air and pump it into the indoor unit inside the building using a special refrigerant.

Indoor unit

Is mounted on the wall inside the room and directs the heat stored in the refrigerant to the room using a fan. The indoor unit is installed under the ceiling, but not higher than 2.5 metres from the floor.

Heat pumps can also work the other way around, cooling rooms in summer. During cooling, thermal energy is pumped from indoors to the outdoor environment.
