APVA Support for Solar Power Plants in 2025
Installation of household solar power plants (new installations)
Residents who install new solar power systems or expand the capacity of their existing systems are now invited to apply for state support through the Environmental Project Management Agency (APVA). Over €35 million has been allocated for this initiative. The compensation rates are as follows:
- €255.07 per 1 kW of installed capacity for newly installed systems
- €191.16 per 1 kW for increasing the capacity of existing systems
The maximum APVA support applies to a system of up to 10 kW.
Who is eligible for support?
Eligible applicants are residents who have already installed or expanded a solar power system before the announcement of the funding and possess all required documentation.
Only one electricity consumption object (address) can be specified per application. If the electricity from one solar plant is distributed to multiple addresses, a separate application must be submitted for each.

What expenses are eligible and what are the equipment requirements?
Expenses are eligible if incurred by the applicant or a co-owner of the consumption site and properly documented.
Required documentation includes:
- VAT invoices
- Equipment handover-acceptance act
- Certified contractor's declaration
Documents must be dated no earlier than February 1, 2022.
The equipment must be new, meet EU standards, and comply with ecological requirements.
Solar modules must:
- Meet EU standards
- Have a CE mark
- Include a 10-year product warranty
- Include a 25-year performance guarantee of at least 80%
Inverters must:
- Meet EU standards
- Have a CE mark
- Include a 5-year warranty
- Offer protection from dust and moisture (at least IP65)
How to apply for APVA support?
To receive support, applicants must fill out the electronic form on the “APVIS” platform. It is essential to attach all required documents.

What’s new in the 2025 support call?
Consumers are now legally allowed to replace previously subsidized inverters (if incompatible with energy storage systems) using their own funds – without violating the original funding terms. These replacements must be completed by February 2025. Until then, it is permitted to install a second inverter without disconnecting the original one.
